Ben is a user experience designer living in Watertown, MA. He currently leads a team of UX’ers at Verily (FKA Google Life Sciences), using human-centered design to take on some of the biggest challenges facing healthcare in America.

Prior to joining Verily, Ben spent 5 years at at iRobot, making Roomba smarter, easier to use, and more cat-friendly. Before that, he spent six years at Solidworks, designing CAD software for desktop, mobile, and web, and leading a small team of UX’ers.

Ben received his Master’s from Northwestern University, and has been awarded six US patents and a Red Dot “Best of the Best” award for the Roomba i7+. In his free time, he likes to make pizza, wander aimlessly around cities, climb things, and tinker in his basement workshop.
